Writing this post as I’m setting up this platform for sharing updates on the challenge that is to get a team of Agents to do actual real world work.
As this format materializes into an actual show, I think that instead of obsessing about getting it right from the start, it might best to take my chances NOW and write about the journey.
After days of intense testing, last night marked the first public broadcast of Machine Talks!
The last couple of weeks were insane, working on upgrading from V1 to V2, implementing some new ideas like modularized Prompts and thinking ahead on how to introduce the concept of a Reflector - Curator agent collaboration so the agents could catch errors and suggest improvements on their own.
Sticking to LangGraph proved to be quite the choice - if not for the HUGE learning curve - but after a long sprint fixing up new implementations things just work.
For the most part. This version still relies on my input for a few things - it's not fully autonomous yet. The main issue has been the Media Researcher, it just can't get it right yet, and as a result the episodes are still kind of poor on additional media. Replikant’s
Display system also isn’t helping, and I’ve spent quite some hours and tts credits figuring out how to make it work upon command.
I'm likely to think of a new approach for media and hopefully get this working for the next episodes, but until then, I’m quite impressed with the quality of the analysis so far. News discovery and the intuitive pairing sometimes really capture the atmosphere and
I often catch myself entertained by the content.
I'll keep this notes coming, also with some help. I’m working on a Claude workflow so it can also write its own blog posts, to help explain some of the choices I've been making but mostly because conceptually it makes sense.
